Senior Lecturer

Wayne Schiess teaches legal writing, legal drafting, and plain English, and he is a frequent and favorite seminar speaker on those subjects. He has published more than a dozen articles on practical legal-writing skills, plus five books. His latest is Legal Writing Nerd: Be One. He graduated from Cornell Law School, practiced law for three years at the Texas firm of Baker Botts, and later joined the faculty at the University of Texas School of Law.
